Since the very beginnings Foffa Bikes has done their part in popularising simplicity in cycling and bit by bit growing out of their trendy East London's warehouse they have become a brand recognised by most cycling enthusiasts this side of the pond.
With 2014 Foffa has brought us some news, some good and some sad. The exciting bit is Foffa has three new bikes under their sleeve and this is what they will be:
The single speed range is largely unchanged from last year. The bike is still based on the same lugged signature "One" frame with quill stem and a classic 1" headset. Frame is built from a 4130 Cromoly steel and based on a triple wall deep section 700c rims. The biggest news on the single speed range is a price point, the new batch will be available at a staggering £359.99 compared to the £399 and £549 options from the last year. That is a dramatic drop and at least so far we have not found a major corner cutting and the quality of the bike seems to be the same.
The biggest change concerns the rest of Foffa family, unfortunately there will be trendy Ciao and sleek Grazia no more, we are very sad to see them go but both are getting replaced by new additions. Instead of Ciao we can meet Urban, a purpose built 7 speed city bike. Based on the same "One" frame it's equipped with a 7-speed Shimano Nexus hub making it a lot more dynamic and opening a lot more option for cycling around hilly areas.
Grazia is getting replaced by a little more girly looking Iris. The curly shaped City Bike is fitted with mudguards, pannier rack and three in-hub gears making it indeed a very comfortable ride. At £374.99 it should be considered a bargain and should be an ultimate sunday market transportation.
