It's time to look back at what's been popular last year.
I wanted to make a list of the fanciest bikes from last year but I realised there is no need to pump up an artificial illusion. You, who bought the bikes, have made your votes with your £ already and here we give you a look back at what was your top picks.
No 5 - Montecore 3
I must say I am very pleased this bike is on the list. It's one of my personal favourites from State Bicycle Co. and it comes from a rather affordable range as most of the best sellers on from last year. The chromed frame gives a classic touch to a modern build. State has done a great job by fitting this bike with slightly narrower rims shaving off extra few hundred grams from a bike that was already light for its price. Coming at just £399 this is a good snatch.
No 4 - Black Single Speed edition by Foffa
After expanding their range to city and geared bikes, the most popular of Foffa Bikes are still the original single speeders. Although this bike came on the list late thanks to success in Black Friday sales, it well deserves the spot here. Foffa uses a more classic approach to their range and the company is sticking to quill stems keeping that original vintage effect intact. It can be yours for only £349.99 but the freedom you get while riding is priceless.
No 3 - The Ranger 2.0
The ranger has rightfully become one of the cornerstones for the Coreline range from State Bicycle Co. Its second edition was reintroduced with chromed chainstays and forks making it a true modern classic. The double butted tubing, like on all state 4130 range, assures you get not only looks but also a superb value for your money. Your's for only £399.
No 2 - Rutherford
Yes yes, I know. This starts looking like an overwhelming State Bicycle Co. ad but hey, let me remind you - our buyers voted with their money to create this list, and just look at it! Why shouldn't it be here if you can get it for £399!
No1 - Matte Black 6
Black is the new black! No questions asked, black never goes out of fashion and I can see why. You can arrive on this bike to an office, pub or a wedding party and be looked at with respect. Matte Black series by far has been dominating all sales since it was created and somehow State Bicycle Co. still manages to improve the range again and again. This bike weighing in at just 8.8kg (medium size) and featuring double butted tubing and a free choice of handlebars no doubt is deserving the top spot.
